How to Plan Your Exit: Turning Over the Keys to Your Business (Qualified Remodeler magazine artice)
Sooner or later everyone retires. It is a simple fact of life. Ensuring that a remodeling business survives beyond this inevitability has become an important goal for many remodelers - whether they plan to retire next year, or ten years down the road.

But in planning a succession, tough questions soon arise. Who will take over the company? Will there be enough money for the transaction to comfortably live on? Will a family member or employee purchase the company from you or will you have to sell it to an outsider? All of these questions...

Keep up what you are doing. This class went faster for me than any I have been through, and I have been licensed since the state required it.

Ted Capistrant, president

Theodore “Ted” Capistrant formed The Profit Builder Network, LLC in December of 2005, a firm committed to training business owners, operators, and their staff in the building construction and maintenance industries to achieve increased levels of success and profitability. For over 15 years Ted achieved excellent results in the areas of business development, change management, leadership development, and operations management in multiple industries.

As Vice President of Operations at Marsden Building Maintenance throughout the mid to late 1990’s he had the opportunity to gain experience in virtually all aspects of managing operations and improving this large building maintenance contractor with over 3,000 employees.

From 1999 through 2005 Ted worked at Minnesota Life in downtown St. Paul as the Director of Individual Life Policy Administration running the company’s largest customer service and administrative processing operation.

His experience and outstanding results operating at high levels of leadership in these first rate organizations combined with strong working relationships among various business specialists uniquely qualifies him to create an entity designed to positively impact building construction, maintenance, and remodeling industry firms.

As President of The Profit Builders Network, LLC (PBN), Ted leads a network of business experts focused on training, advising, and inspiring businesses to increase profitability. PBN’s objective is to provide the highest quality continuing education and training to contractors in virtually all fields impacting their business in the areas of Operations, Building Technology, Asset Protection, Accounting, Marketing, and Human Resources.
